If fans are looking for Tommy Sanders (Cordele, Ga./Butler Community College) this weekend, he’ll be in Columbia, S.C.
Butler coach Troy Morrell indicated Friday morning that his star outside linebacker was taking his official visit to South Carolina this weekend after meeting with Buckeyes assistant coach Luke Fickel on Thursday.
The latest development, however, is that Sanders now has an offer from Ohio State.
Rumors circulated Wednesday night that the 6-foot-2, 215-pound Sanders committed to the Buckeyes, but he put those rumors to bed almost immediately.
Aside from Ohio State and South Carolina, Sanders has taken officials to Mississippi State and Texas A&M.
Morrell believes Sanders is down to Ohio State, South Carolina and Texas A&M with a decision coming soon.
Sanders currently has offers from Baylor, Florida State, Kansas State, Mississippi State, South Florida and Texas A&M.
This season, Sanders recorded 71 tackles -- 20 for loss -- logged eight sacks, two fumble recoveries, added a forced fumble and had an interception to go along with 12 pass break-ups.
