The Demon Deacons have a new top recruit following the commitment of four-star outside linebacker Lance Virgile (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas). Virgile's decision was reported by multiple outlets.

Bowling Green, East Carolina, Florida International, Houston, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisville, Miami-OH, North Carolina State, Central Florida and West Virginia also offered the 6-foot-2, 218-pound senior. Boston College, Miami-FL, Nebraska and Wisconsin showed interest.

ESPN states in his scouting report, "Virgile is very effective defending against the run and pass and his playing strength and speed allow him to make plays all over the field... may not be an immediate impact player at the BCS level of play, but early situational playing time is a distinct possibility."

Wake Forest has 17 vebals for 2013.
