Four-star wide receiver Jamar Gibson (Baytown, Texas/Goose Creek) has committed to play for the Cougars, multiple sources report.

Gibson, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound prospect, originally selected Texas A&M but later parted ways with the Aggies. The talented senior had been extremely quiet for months.

ESPN says of Gibson, "There is no questioning Gibson's tools for the next level. He has a potential impact combination of size, speed and strength. He's not an elite burner, but has the build and strength to be a primary receiver on the outside ... Gibson's skill set could translate into him being one of the top receivers in the country. He's an excellent prospect."

Gibson is now Houston's top-rated recruit for 2013. The Cougars have 13 pledges, including 12 three-stars, and now a four-star.
