Two-star safety Xavier Swinton (Delray Beach, Fla./American Heritage) is headed to the MAC.
On Sunday afternoon, the 6-foot, 185-pound prospect chose the Miami (Ohio) RedHawks over offers from Bowling Green, Colgate, FAU and Tulane.
"The coaches said that they were really excited and happy to have me join the RedHawk family," Swinton said.
Swinton is the Redhawks' 21st commitment for the Class of 2013 and the second from American Heritage. Jake Giordano, an inside linebacker and teammate of Swinton, has also verbally pledged to Miami (Ohio).
He is the first pledge in the class that ESPN projects to play safety.
