Los Angeles Harbor Junior College (Wilmington, Calif.) offensive lineman John Miller committed Saturday to play for the Orange, according to the Post-Standard. He is Syracuse's first pledge since July.
“I loved it. They’re an up-and-coming program," he said following an official visit. "They just got a share of the Big East title. This feels like a new home for me.”
Miller, a 6-foot-3, 317-pound Redondo Beach, Calif. native, was also recruited by Memphis, New Mexico, Nevada, TCU and Washington State.
Syracuse has 10 verbals for 2013.
