Dean Crozier (Adelaide, Australia/St. Peter's College), a gigantic, 6-foot-7, 240-pound Australian punter, has committed to attend Rutgers, according to the Star-Ledger. Eastern Michigan and Coastal Carolina also recruited the 24 year-old Crozier.
"At Rutgers, they have a saying called 'family,' and I really liked everything their program was about. They showed me around and were just really nice people. I immediately felt at home," he said. "I met coach Flood and it just came back to that family mentality... talking to coach Flood was like talking to my dad. He showed me pictures of his children and it was awesome. It was like being at home with my family, so that's why I chose Rutgers."
Crozier hopes to enroll in January but still needs to get his academics in line to complete the international transfer. The Scarlet Knights graduated senior punter Justin Doerner, so Crozier may be counted on to fill the role immediately.
He is commitment No. 21 for Rutgers.
