RedHawks win MAC battle for Washington

Damon Washington (Kirtland, Ohio/Kirtland), a highly-productive two-way standout, committed Thursday night to sign with Miami-OH, the News-Herald reports.
“It all came together there at Miami,” he said. “I really like how it feels like Kirtland. I love the coaching staff and campus. It just felt right there.”
Washington, a 5-foot-10, 180-pound senior, selected the RedHawks over scholarship offers from Ball State, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Ohio and Toledo.
