The Golden Panthers have gained a commitment from three-star wide receiver Sean Avant (Miramar, Fla./Miramar), according to multiple sources.
Avant, a 6-foot, 180-pound senior, also held scholarship offers from Bowling Green, Marshall, South Alabama, Syracuse, Temple, Central Florida, Wake Forest and West Virginia.
ESPN calls Avant "a productive receiver prospect with good underneath quickness, speed and pass-catching skills. Versatile and athletic with good ball skills ... has upper-tier hands and quickness and may be falling under the radar as a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver in a spread offense. Could see his recruiting stock rise with a breakout season."
Avant is the 12th pledge for Florida International, which recently fired head coach Mario Cristobal.
