A knee injury derailed his junior season, but a successful senior campaign has college coaches calling for cornerback Armond Hawkins (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif./Rancho Cucamonga).
Last week, San Jose State was on campus for Hawkins. This week, Nevada and Youngstown State came though. And Hawkins hosted an in-home visit with Eastern Michigan head coach Ron English.
"He's a great coach," Hawkins said of English. "He's recruited me like nobody else has recruited me. He didn't come in trying to say we're the best and all that. He said he could make me a better player and get me to the NFL, which is my goal. I loved the visit he had and he really sold me on Eastern Michigan. I'm really thinking about going there."
