Taylor Lewis (DeSoto, Texas/DeSoto) committed to Kansas late June after a visit to Lawrence, Kan. Stil, the 6-foot, 180-pound defensive back knew in the back of his mind that Oklahoma State would be a great place to play college football -- and if he got the chance, he’d jump on the opportunity.
It took roughly six months, but Lewis finally picked up that offer, and on Wednesday, Lewis changed his commitment and gave the Cowboys his verbal pledge. Lewis, who plays cornerback and safety for nationally ranked DeSoto, said he will play cornerback in college.
“That was the other school I always considered,” Lewis said of Oklahoma State. “It was a decision I came up with. My family, my head coach and I sat down, and it was a decision I had to make.”
