In the past few days, the Idaho Vandals have added a new coach to go along with verbal commitment No. 5 for the 2013 recruiting class. Paul Petrino was hired on Monday and the first-time head coach at this level will have a big lineman to work with during the upcoming season, as offensive tackle Brett Thompson (Rupert, Idaho/Minico) announced his commitment.
"I went there and fell in love with the school. Everybody there including the coaching staff seemed really cool and down to earth," Thompson said.
The 6-foot-4, 310-pound senior said news of the coaching hire only locked him in more with the Vandals.
