Ryan Golden is hoping to stay close to home.
That seems like a real possibility for the junior from Lake Cormorant (Miss.) High. The ESPN Watch List wide receiver already has a scholarship offer from nearby Mississippi State.
"I do want to stay close to home," the 5-foot-8, 160-pound Golden said. "Tradition is very important."
Golden, who has a scholarship offer from Tennessee, might soon have another in-state option. It seems likely that Ole Miss will offer him.
His inclination is to stay in state, but he's not married to the notion. He said he'll stay in state unless an out-of-state school catches his eye. Golden said he'd like to be recruited by Oregon and Alabama.
