Wide receiver Eddie Johnson (Corsicana, Texas/Navarro College) finished his junior college career with two Southwest Junior College Football Conference championships and two C.H.A.M.P.S. Heart of Texas Bowl titles.
Now the 6-foot-3, 230-pound receiver is focused on where he will continue his college career. Johnson originally planned on taking his first official visit to Arkansas State this weekend, but he said on Monday that he will instead take an official visit to Mississippi State.
Johnson said the Bulldogs have taken a major interest in him lately. He finished the season with 26 catches for 351 yards and five touchdowns for a Navarro team that led the NJCAA in rushing. Navarro beat Georgia Military College, 30-23, to win the Heart of Texas Bowl and finished the year ranked No. 4 in the country.
