Wide receiver Nate Phillips (Chandler, Ariz./Basha) has taken several unofficial visits to Arizona, whether it was complete with a campus and academic tour this past summer or trips to the stadium for games this fall. But the 5-foot-10, 175-pound receiver was excited to get to Tucson again this weekend for his official visit to Arizona.
"This trip got to be more personal," Phillips said. "I got a better feel for how the system works and everything about the school. Everything went well. I liked going down and seeing how practice worked; I liked seeing how fast-paced everything was and how the coaches were."
Phillips said he also did what he could to help the coaches with recruiting during the visit, and he had some help, with offensive guard Logan Stott (St. George, Utah/Pine View), another Arizona verbal commitment. Both recruits had an opportunity to spend time with fellow offensive players in offensive tackle Aaron Cochran (Atwater, Calif./Buhach Colony) and junior college quarterback Jesse Scroggins (Torrance, Calif./El Camino).
