MESQUITE, Texas -- Patrick Brown (Henderson, Texas/Henderson) is known around his town as “Monsta.” While he is only 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds, there’s a reason why he has the nickname.
No matter where he plays on the field, Brown has been effective all season long. He is Henderson’s most dangerous athlete, and Celina, Texas, found that out on Friday, as he rushed for 141 yards and five touchdowns in a 64-35 win in a Texas Class 3A Division II playoff matchup.
Louisiana-Monroe, New Mexico State and Central Arkansas have offered Brown thus far. Where he will play in college, however, is still a mystery. He has played quarterback, receiver, running back, cornerback and safety, and he contributes regularly on special teams.
