RB Austin Walter on the 2014 radar

The first five plays on the highlight tape of 2014 running back Austin Walter (Crosby, Texas/Crosby) basically sum up his resume.

While he’s not the biggest back, Walter makes up for size with his quickness, shiftiness and explosiveness. He was 24 yards short of a 2,000-yard rushing season as a junior and finished the year with 20 rushing touchdowns. Walter also caught 29 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns from his twin brother, Crosby quarterback Aston Walter. For his efforts, Walter was named the offensive MVP of his district.

At 5-foot-7 and 170 pounds, Walter put on his uniform every game to prove that contrary to what many believe, size should be irrelevant in regards to his recruiting.
