Roman Clay (Lancaster, Pa./Catholic), an under-the-radar three-star running back, committed Friday night to play in the Mid-American Conference for Kent State, PennLive.com reports.

Clay selected the Golden Flashes over Delaware. Duquesne, Massachusetts, Old Dominion and Towson also extended scholarship offers the 5-foot-11, 209-pound prospect. Penn State, Pittsburgh and Miami-OH showed interest.

ESPN calls him, "a dominant inside runner with the playing speed that makes it very difficult to run him down once a step is gained on the defense ... appears to be flying under the radar as a BCS prospect, however his dominant inside running skills coupled with his playing speed, balance and agility warrant continued evaluation."
