The Marshall Thundering Herd gained a commitment Thursday night from three-star wide receiver Mark Barr. Jr., according to multiple reports. Barr is a product of St. Thomas Aquinas (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.), one of the country's finest high school football programs.
Barr made an official visit to Marshall during the weekend of Nov. 16 for the Herd's 44-41 victory over Houston. Boston College, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Indiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi State and Tulane also extended scholarship offers to the 6-foot, 175-pound senior.
ESPN describes him as "an ultra-productive player. If he had greater speed would be seeing much more recruiting attention early in the process ... is a good prospect that is dependable and makes a lot of plays for this team."
