According to multiple sources, ESPN 300 wide receiver Chuck Baker (Slidell, La./Salmen) and three-star defensive tackle / fullback Kennard Swanson (Lakeland, Fla./Lake Gibson) are no longer considered LSU commitments.
The Times-Picayune writes that Baker, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect who committed in February, "still had some work to do in the classroom in order to qualify." It is not clear whether other schools are pursuing him.
Derek Tyson of ESPN's GatorNation recently reported the Florida extended an offer to Swanson. The 6-foot, 250-pound senior also holds offers from Pittsburgh, West Virginia and Western Kentucky.
Following these two departures, LSU currently holds 23 verbals for 2013 and the nation's eighth-best class, according to ESPN RecruitingNation.
