Despite Thursday night's crushing loss to Louisville, Rutgers picked up a commitment from high three-star wide receiver Andre Patton (Wilmington, Del./St. Elizabeth), multiple sources report.
According to the Star-Ledger, Patton selected the Scarlet Knights over Purdue and West Virginia. Boston College, Illinois, Iowa, North Carolina State, Pittsburgh and Syracuse also offered the 6-foot-3, 195-pound prospect.
"I like the area where they are located," he told NJ.com two weeks ago. "It's really convenient. I also like the coaches. I've built a good relationship with them and I feel if I go there, they'll actually want to help me get better."
