Three-star defensive back Tre Flowers (Converse, Texas/Judson) didn’t stay on the recruiting boards long -- just long enough, in fact, to express his interest in Oklahoma State and give the Cowboys his verbal commitment.
Less than three days after decommitting from Arizona State, Flowers verbally committed to Oklahoma State and became the Cowboys’ 18th commitment of the 2013 recruiting class. A 6-foot-3, 180-pound safety, Flowers was recruited by safeties coach Van Malone.
Flowers on Monday said he felt his first commitment to Arizona State was rushed, and Oklahoma State had been in contact with him throughout the process. He also said the Cowboys were a heavy favorite, and a commitment could come at any time.
