A broken collarbone cut last year short for wide receiver Elroy Masters (Peoria, Ariz./Sunrise Mountain), as he was able to participate in only four games. But this season, not much of anything stopped Masters, who caught 44 passes for 1,118 yards and 14 touchdowns in the regular season.
His year was highlighted by a five-catch, five-touchdown performance against Glendale (Ariz.) Copper Canyon, when he went for 254 receiving yards. That game began something of a recruiting avalanche for Masters, as scholarship offers from Air Force, Montana, Nevada, Nothern Arizona, San Jose State and Wyoming all came in during the following week.
Arizona State, Oregon State and UCLA are Pac-12 programs that have expressed interest in Masters.
