If Daniel August (Tulsa, Okla./Victory Christian) has his way, he’ll have an offer from Arkansas soon. If that offer comes, don’t be surprised if he ultimately chooses the Razorbacks.
August, who has strong interest in Arkansas, took in the Razorbacks’ final home game of the season Saturday against LSU. The 6-foot-4, 270-pound defensive lineman has been in contact regularly with receivers coach Kris Cinkovich.
“It was awesome being there for an SEC game,” August said. “It was a lot bigger than a Big 12 atmosphere. The coaches and people at Arkansas make you feel at home and comfortable. [Cinkovich] said he and the other coaches will have meeting about who they want, and my process with them will continue forward.”
August can play both defensive end and defensive tackle at the next level. He has an offer from Drake and interest from Oklahoma State, Tulsa, Kansas, Baylor, Arkansas State and Memphis, in addition to Arkansas.
