The firing of Purdue coach Danny Hope might have some Boilermaker recruits wondering about their college futures, but three-star wide receiver Myles Norwood (Arlington, Texas/Grace Prep) said he doesn’t have any plans of looking elsewhere to play football.
Norwood said Hope’s firing after four seasons was something of a surprise, but he is still solid with his commitment to the program. Hope was let go after the Boilermakers’ 6-6 season in 2012 and Hope’s 22-27 record in four seasons at Purdue. Hope was fired despite winning his last three games.
“I was a little shocked, but it’s a business,” said Norwood, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound receiver. “Coach Hope was a guy who recruited me, and I felt a connection with him. It was a business decision; it is what it is.”
