Southfield (Mich.) offensive tackle Collin Buchanan picked up an offer from Miami (Ohio) Thursday and wasted little time making a decision.
The 6-foot-5, 305-pound lineman committed to the RedHawks on Thursday after taking an unofficial visit to the campus this past weekend.
“Me and my parents liked what we saw so we decided to choose Miami,” Buchanan said shortly after making his decision.
While on the visit, Buchanan and his parents got along great with the coaches, especially main recruiter Robert Lee.
“I liked the coaching staff, like how they run things down there, just like them personally,” he said.
He also likes what Miami has to offer outside of football.
“I liked the diversity of the school,” he said. “The buildings are new and it looked like a real college town -- somewhere I want to be.”
Buchanan will officially visit Miami in December.
Akron, Howard, Old Dominion and Western Michigan also offered.
