For four-star outside linebacker/safety hybrid Brandon Hines (Dallas/Kimball), the word “loyalty” holds a strong meaning. It was strong enough for him to give New Mexico State his verbal commitment late Wednesday evening.
Hines, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound athlete with 4.5-second speed in the 40-yard dash and escalating potential, chose New Mexico State over offers from Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, SMU and Texas Tech. Hines, who was recruited by NMSU offensive line coach Brad Bedell, became the Aggies’ first commitment of the 2013 recruiting class.
