Three-star wide receiver Johnell Barnes (Fort Myers, Fla./Dunbar) has been solidly committed to Duke since the summer, but that hasn’t stopped other programs from inquiring about him.
The 6-foot, 170-pound senior has been pursued heavily by Vanderbilt in recent weeks and also heard from another SEC program this past weekend.
“Vanderbilt has been pretty aggressive overall,” Barnes said. “And one of the coaches from Georgia, their DB coach (Scott Lakatos) came up and talked with me after the Immokalee game.”
