Temple has an early offer out to 2014 athlete Thadd Smith (Springfield, Pa./Cardinal O’Hara), and the Owls made the Philadelphia-area prospect feel at home while on a visit Saturday.
“The Temple visit was good even though they lost. I had a lot of fun. They treated me like I was a part of their TU family,” Smith said.
The 5-foot-8, 163-pound Smith has a Rutgers offer, too, and programs such as Georgia, Michigan State, Penn State and South Carolina have shown early interest. Smith believes he is best suited for offense as a running back or slot receiver, but he also plays cornerback.
