Wide receiver Jumichael Ramos (Lovejoy, Ga./Lovejoy) committed Friday night to play for the Yellow Jackets, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He is Georgia Tech's first pledge since mid-July.
Ramos, a 6-foot-3, 195-pound senior, chose Paul Johnson's program over scholarship offers from Cincinnati, Florida Atlantic, Middle Tennessee and South Florida. GT wide receivers coach Al "Buzz" Preston was his primary recruiter.
“I just felt like Georgia Tech would be the best fit for me,” Ramos told the AJC. “I know I can block, and I can make big plays when needed. I feel like that’s what they do with wide receivers in their offensive scheme, and I’m a good fit for that.”
