Pittsburgh fans can breathe a sigh of relief. ESPN 150 receiver Robert Foster (Monaca, Pa./Central Valley) will take an official visit to Pitt.
Less than a week after tweeting he was ready to make a decision following his official visit to Alabama, Foster announced via his Twitter account @DROBFoster_4 he will visit Pitt later this month.
“My official visit to PITT on the 16th,” he wrote.
The top player in Pennsylvania and No. 2 receiver nationally, Foster lives about 45 minutes north of Pittsburgh in Monaca. He also wrote on his Twitter that freshman Rushel Shell, a 2012 ESPN 150 member, will host his visit. Shell is from Aliquippa, which is not far from Monaca.
Pitt has a bye that week, so the staff will be able to focus on Foster and fellow ESPN 150 recruit and official visitor Dorian Johnson that weekend. Ironically, Foster’s Central Valley squad knocked Johnson’s Belle Vernon Area team out of the playoffs last weekend.
Foster has a top three of the Panthers, Alabama and Ohio State.
