Class of 2014 wide receiver Ryeshene Bronson (Fort Myers, Fla./Dunbar) didn’t record much in the way of statistics in Friday’s 35-0 victory over Sarasota (Fla.) Booker, but the 6-foot-3, 185-pound junior was excited with his contributions that helped Dunbar gain over 300 yards on the ground.
"I had just one catch but that’s all right because I knew they would need me to block downfield and help the running game," Bronson said. "It worked out because we won big."
Bronson expects to see more action in the playoffs, hopefully in the first-round matchup against Orlando (Fla.) Jones, but he’ll take the win nonetheless.
"That’s all that really matters," Bronson added. "We just want to keep playing and get to state."
On the recruiting front, Bronson remains strongly committed to Florida and he’s went to a couple of Gators games this year.
However, he also saw how the other half lived when he traveled to Tallahassee in September to watch FSU defeat Clemson.
"I was a little surprised by FSU," Bronson said. "I didn’t expect them to go like that on offense. They were pretty explosive.
"Still, I believe my school will beat them at the end of the month."
