ESPN 150 athlete Greg Taboada (Atlanta/Marist) committed Sunday night to sign with Stanford, multiple sources report.
The 6-foot-4, 235-pound senior chose the Cardinal over scholarship offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Boston College, North Carolina, Oregon, Syracuse, Central Florida, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Wake Forest.
ESPN calls him, "a big, good looking prospect with range and versatility to play as a defensive end or tight end at the next level... has a chance on either side of the ball to become a quality player for a BCS program."
Taboada is Stanford's eighth 2013 pledge. Two other players, quarterback Ryan Burns (Ashburn, Va./Stone Bridge) and linebacker Isaac Savaiinaea (Honolulu/Punahou), are also in the ESPN 150, while receiver Francis Owusu (Westlake Village, Calif./Oaks Christian) is an ESPN 300 member.
