Four-star defensive tackle Quay Evans (Morton, Miss.), ranked No. 102 in the ESPNU 150, committed to play for Mississippi State Thursday, multiple sources report.
Evans, 6-foot-2, 315-pounds, selected the Bulldogs over scholarship offers from Auburn, USC, Florida State, LSU, Ole Miss, Alabama, Miami-FL and Southern Miss.
"I feel like that, as time goes on and the players commit, one day (Dan Mullen) is going to have that team like LSU and Alabama," Evans told the Clarion Ledger. "I want to be a part of a program like that, instead of a team that has already won numerous titles."
