Zelt Minor discusses switch to SMU

Houston Lamar’s Zelt Minor and Cedric Lancaster have been teammates since freshman year and friends for just as long. They made a pact some years back that they would play college football together.
On Tuesday, Lancaster, a rising cornerback, committed to SMU. Minor, a three-star defensive end who originally was committed to Houston in June, decided to make the pact true and follow his good friend to Dallas.
Minor decommitted on Houston and gave his verbal pledge to SMU on Wednesday, becoming the Mustangs’ 22nd commitment of the 2013 recruiting class. Recruited by Jason Phillips, Minor became the Mustangs’ third commitment in as many days.
