Senior running back Rachid Ibrahim (Gaithersburg, Md./Avalon) committed Thursday to play for the Panthers, multiple sources report.
Ibrahim, a 6-foot, 172-pound three-star talent, also received scholarship offers from Boston College, East Carolina, Iowa and Ohio. Maryland, Missouri, Penn State, Virginia and Virginia Tech showed interest.
ESPN says Ibrahim, "runs with the slashing style and playing speed which allows him to rip off huge gains once in the open field... his toughness and playing speed could earn him early playing time if a red shirt year isn't deemed necessary."
