On a team with FBS commits and several players with FBS offers and interest, 2014 safety Terry Ausborne (Tyler, Texas/John Tyler) quietly emerges as the player everybody talks about after a John Tyler game.
A 5-foot-11, 165-pound safety, Ausborne has been very consistent for a Lions team that is owns one of the best defensive units in East Texas. Ausborne was a second-team all-district selection last season as a sophomore, and he’s continuing his solid efforts as a junior.
“I just describe myself as someone who wants to get better every day in practice,” Ausborne said. “I’m just trying to do a good job and help my team win on Friday nights.
