Three USC commits on ESPN Watch List

9/27/2012

The three early commitments USC has locked up for the 2014 recruiting class figure to get their share of recognition the next two years, and their inclusion in the initial Class of 2014 ESPN Watch List on Thursday promised to be only the beginning.

Offensive linemen Toa Lobendahn (Lakewood, Calif./Lakewood), Jordan Poland (La Jolla, Calif./Country Day School) and Casey Tucker (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton) -- whom all verbally committed to the Trojans before the start of their junior seasons -- represent USC in the first installment of next year's list.

The Trojans have the most Watch List members among Pac-12 Conference schools. Stanford, Utah and Washington each have one commitment on the list. Florida State leads all schools with six Watch List members, followed by Clemson and Texas, which have five commitments each.

A number of the Trojans' in-state targets are listed as well. Among those is quarterback Keller Chryst (Palo Alto, Calif./Palo Alto), who so far is the only 2014 signal-caller with a verbal scholarship offer from USC.

Also on the list are defensive ends Nifae Lealao (Sacramento, Calif./Capital Christian School) and Tyler Luatua (La Mirada, Calif./La Mirada), two of the state's top recruits whom have also been offered by the Trojans. Lealao attended USC's game at Stanford this season, and Luatua has the Trojans in his early top two along with Alabama.

Highly coveted teammates Adoree' Jackson and Dwight Williams of recent USC pipeline Junipero Serra (Gardena, Calif.) don't have offers yet but both feel it's only a matter of time. They, too, make an appearance on the Watch List.

Five of the six Florida prospects with offers from USC -- Florida State commits Denzel Ware (Crestview, Fla./Crestview) and JoJo Robinson (Miami, Fla./Northwestern), Clemson commit Dalvin Cooke (Miami, Fla./Central), receiver Adly Enoicy (Delray Beach, Fla./Atlantic Community) and offensive tackle Mason Cole (Tarpon Springs, Fla./East Lake) -- also made the list.

Hoza Scott (La Porte, Texas/La Porte) and Tony Brown (Beaumont, Texas/Ozen) are a pair of Lone Star State prospects that have been offered by the Trojans.
