ESPN 150 cornerback Chris Hawkins (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif./Rancho Cucamonga) turned a phenomenal performance this past spring into offers from some of the country's top programs, as Hawkins eventually committed to USC. His brother, fellow cornerback Armond Hawkins, was forced to slowly make his way back to the field from a torn meniscus he suffered in the early stages of his junior year.

Armond said he didn't feel back to 100 percent healthy until June, but since that time, he has made an impression. With a handful of games in his senior season completed, Hawkins put out a highlight tape last week and he said attention has been increasing rapidly.

He will take official visits, along with his brother, to California on Oct. 5, Notre Dame on Oct. 12 and Arizona State on Oct. 26. He said he would save the final two visits, but added that Portland State could be very close to extending an offer, which would lead to an official visit for the Vikings.
