Mossi Johnson (Crenshaw, Calif./Crenshaw) has been one of the main driving forces for the Cougars' impressive 4-1 start, and several days after the dual-threat athlete registered two interceptions in a 13-2 win against Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian, Johnson added a big scholarship offer.
Pac-12 programs had been monitoring the 6-foot, 170-pound wideout, but on Wednesday, UCLA stepped forward with an offer.
"It's a sigh of relief that one of my top choices has finally offered me," Johnson said via text. "I'm not going to stop what I'm doing and let up."
Johnson already held an offer from UNLV, and additional programs are also showing interest, with Arizona State the most likely candidate to offer next. Johnson said he won't rush into any decision, as his recruitment could pick up in a big way if he maintains his performance thoughout the season. He said that at this point, he is considering taking official visits to Arizona State, UCLA and Washington.
