Hours after picking up an offer from Arkansas, Lamar Jordan (Frisco, Texas/Centennial) decided to pull the trigger.
Jordan, a 5-foot-11, 180-pound athlete, confirmed via text message that he verbally committed to the Razorbacks Thursday evening. He became the third player from Texas on Thursday to give Arkansas his verbal pledge, joining Navarro College offensive linemen Zach Fondal and Mitchell Bell in a 2013 recruiting class now at 17 strong.
“I just talked about it with my parents, and I talked about it with my sister who graduated from there,” said Jordan, who was recruited by offensive coordinator Paul Petrino. “Coach told me they were only taking two or three [receivers], and this was my best offer, so I felt like I might as well jump on it. I prayed about it, and I’m happy with my decision.
