Senior running back Jonathan Parker (St. Louis, Mo./Christian Brothers) pledged to sign with the Golden Hurricane, multiple sources report.
He spoke with the Tulsa World about his choice: "At the end of my decision, there was a group of schools I was looking at. I liked Northern Illinois, but I loved Tulsa. I feel most comfortable with Tulsa. I felt like I fit in better at Tulsa than at any other school I looked at."
"I did research, my coaches did research and my mom did research. We all liked Tulsa," Parker added. "I just felt like Tulsa was the best fit. I didn't see any point in waiting, so I made my decision now."
The 5-foot-9, 175-pound prospect also received scholarship offers from Ball State, Miami (Ohio), and Ohio. Missouri expressed interest.
Before his junior season, Parker displayed his athleticism on the combine circuit, posting a 4.68 40-yard dash, 4.43 20-yard shuttle and 31.6-inch vertical.
