DT Taimatuia talks Boise State commitment

September, 6, 2012
Full family support is as important to Justin Taimatuia (Fort Scott, Kan./Fort Scott Community College) as his recruiting process.

So when the 6-foot-1, 300-pound, junior college defensive tackle received the green light from his father to give his verbal pledge to Boise State, he quickly made the call to the Broncos coaching staff. Taimatuia became Boise State’s 10th overall commit and the program’s first juco commit of the 2013 recruiting class. He also became the Broncos’ first defensive lineman of the class.

“It really was my family,” Taimatuia said. “I talked to my dad, and I wanted support from him. He said if I felt right about going there, why not commit? I wanted to be as close to them as possible.”
