Israel Iheanacho is coming home.
The City College of San Francisco cornerback announced via Twitter that he has given his verbal commitment to Texas Tech.
A 5-foot-11, 210-pound prospect, Iheanacho played his high school ball at Houston’s Alief Taylor High. He chose Tech over offers from Baylor, Utah and Vanderbilt.
Iheanacho is commit No. 14 for Texas Tech’s 2013 recruiting class and is the fourth junior college prospect to give the Red Raiders his pledge.
His pledge adds to an already strong defensive back class. The Red Raiders have five commits in the secondary, and three are juco transfers. Iheanacho is joined in the class by College of the Sequoias (Calif.) teammates Stormy Butler and Darren Doston.
