Chicago Simeon linebacker Reggie Spearman grew up rooting for Illinois as a child. Now starting in 2013, he will get to put on the Fighting Illini uniform.
The three-star linebacker and 15th-best prospect in the state of Illinois committed to the Illini while attending practice Tuesday, he said in a text message.
