The Maryland Terrapins picked up a verbal commitment from Malik Jones (Baltimore/Paul L. Dunbar), multiple sources report.
Jones was recently offered at Maryland's camp and committed before he left College Park, according to the Baltimore Sun:
"I knew that I would impress the coaches, but I didn't think I would impress them that much that they'd offer and I'd commit on the spot. It feels great. It feels real good."
Jones' commitment is a big step for Maryland coach Randy Edsall, who has told Dunbar coach Lawrence Smith that he wants to create a pipeline to the Baltimore area.
