Class of 2014 quarterback Chandler Kincade (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) committed to play for the Panthers Wednesday morning.
"He really likes the coaching staff and he likes the offense," coach Joe Hamilton told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "He said he and his parents talked it over, everything looked good about Pitt and he liked it a lot. He said he wanted to commit, so I said OK. We called coach (Todd) Graham this morning."
Kincade, a 6-foot-5, 218-pound sophomore, received a scholarship offer from Pittsburgh in August. He's been Blackhawk's starter since early in his freshman season.
According to multiple sources, Ohio State and Penn State were also recruiting Kincade at this early stage.
