Four-star signal-caller Chris Laviano (Hicksville, N.Y./Holy Trinity) has committed to Rutgers, multiple sources report.
Laviano, one of the nation's most under-recruited players according to ESPN, only had one other scholarship offer (Boston College). UConn, Florida, Maryland, Alabama and Tennessee showed some interest.
"I visited a couple of SEC schools, but they're looking for bigger guys," he told the Star-Ledger. "That's fine. It puts a chip on my shoulder. I know I can throw as well as anyone out there. It's just going to motivate me to work even harder."
