Three-star wide receiver Jesus Wilson (Miami/Christopher Columbus) committed to Florida State on Friday, the 11th commitment in the Class of 2013 for the Seminoles.
The Seminoles hope the 5-foot-9, 155-pound junior will be a speedy addition to the slot and a big-play threat on special teams.
"They want to use me as a return specialists and on plays to get me in space," Wilson said. "Screens, jet sweeps and some work in the slot and on the outside as well."
Wilson has over 900 yards receiving and 13 touchdowns in his past two seasons at Columbus. He visited Florida State for its junior day event and thought about committing then.
"I have such a great relationship with coach [James] Coley and coach [Jimbo] Fisher that it was hard to think about playing somewhere else," Wilson said. "I love the location as well because it's away but still close enough for my family to watch me play."
Wilson chose the Seminoles over Oklahoma State. He also had offers from West Virginia, Texas Tech, Mississippi State, Rutgers and Louisville. He did not attend this week's camp at FSU but will be in Tallahassee for second sessions in mid-July. Wilson has also been invited to play in the USA vs. The World game.
