Scouts: Oregon scores another weapon

Just when you thought the Ducks had enough explosive weapons on their roster they add another dynamic prospect on offense with similar skill-set of Pac-12 co-offensive freshman of the year, De'Anthony Thomas.

Dontre Wilson (DeSoto, Texas) is a fast, versatile athlete and play-maker who can move the chains from the backfield or out of the slot. He is the type of player the Chip Kelly will look to get creative with and find one-on-one mismatches out in space.

As a running back he has the suddenness to get through tight cutback creases quickly and the stop-start skill through traffic to avoid and then accelerate back to top speed in a hurry. While he will slip tackles and has good balance on a solid frame, he is not a power guy, but won’t need to be as Kelly’s offense is designed to create vertical seams for its speedy backs to exploit.
