High three-star quarterback Jeremy Johnson (Montgomery, Ala./Carver) committed Sunday to play for Auburn, the Opelika-Auburn News reports.
Johnson, a 6-foot-5, 210-pound talent, selected the Tigers over scholarship offers from LSU, Ole Miss, Purdue, Arkansas State, Memphis, Houston and Alabama State.
Alabama, Florida State, Louisville and Oklahoma were among the other programs showing interest early in the process.
